In order to maintain the quality of our cupcakes, with the excessive amount of orders that we already have, we are sorry to say that we have to cut off our orders for Friday (May 11) and Saturday (May 12).

New Changes for 2012!

Hello 2012! Hope everyone had a fantastic New Year’s. With the New Year comes a few changes. We’ve added our January flavors and changed our prices.

Flavors for January are:

Good Morning Cupcake: Cinnamon coffee cake with walnuts topped with streusel.
Snowball: Chocolate cake filled with vanilla buttercream, rolled in coconut.
Coffee Toffee Crunch: Chocolate cake baked with toffee bits, topped with a mocha buttercream.

Holiday Cookies!

We have Holiday Cookies in the store thanks to Bianca’s Cookies! They’re adorable, delicious and great for any party! We have snowmen, Santa faces, and tree’s available. We have either trays of them (12 count) or individually. If you need more than 12 please call the store and see if we can accommodate your needs!

Staying Calm Amidst the Frenzy

One of the best things about having a business like Cupcake Island is being a part of customer’s celebrations. Sometimes that means huge orders for events such as weddings, reunions, birthdays–even town centennials–and often for the same day.

Just as you prepare for a large family gathering, and you might get overwhelmed with the shopping, recipes, ideas, decor–so could we! But, with a true leader in charge, a calm demeanor prevails. It is the organizational and managing skills of the party planner (you), or the shop owner/kitchen manager (Ed) that lead to success. The employees follow that cool, unruffled style, doing organized duties.

With Thanksgiving this week we all celebrate with gratitude our many blessings. As you hustle about shopping for those special ingredients, and are preparing multiple things at once, take a step back, breathe deeply, and stay calm, especially when others are bumping into you in the store aisles or the parking lot!

Cupcake Island will be closed Thanksgiving Day and the day after (the 25th) except for special pre-orders, which may be picked up from 9 to 11 AM on Friday. Hours on Sat. will be as usual: 8 to 4.
